Anthony has been freestyle rapping since college but started up a professional troupe called Freestyle Love Supreme back in 2003 in New York City. They’ve performed all over the world: Edinburgh Fringe Fest, HBO’s US Comedy Arts Festival, The Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Montreal’s Just for Laughs Festival and FLS continues to do shows in New York City at COMIX. He started up a production company in NYC called Back House Productions and their first musical, entitled In The Heights, just won the Tony for Best New Musical. Currently, Anthony is working with Sesame Workshop on the new version of The Electric Company which will begin airing on Jan. 23rd (as a creative producer, writer, and part of the show). He is a founding member of Crisis Hopkins and also works with Lekker Media here in San Francisco creating online media content.
Anthony has taught improv and freestyling for over 10 years all over as well. Some of the places he’s taught: The P.I.T. Theater (People’s Improv Theatre in NYC), Wesleyan University, Stanford University, Menlo Park High School, United Nations International School, and here in San Francisco at the Climate Theatre. He was a member of Gag Reflex back at Wesleyan, and the Pedestrian Players in NYC.
